Mr Thompson selected as a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert

Everyone at Yarnfield is so pleased that Mr Thompson has been named as a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert.  He is an inspirational teacher who is always looking to what the future will bring and all the pupils at the school will benefit from his drive to integrate cutting edge technology into our teaching practices.

The Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Expert program is a premier program created to recognise global educator visionaries.  MIE Experts are selected by the regional Microsoft representative.  Some of the roles of MIE Experts include advocating and sharing their thoughts about the effective use of technology in education with peers and policymakers, providing insight for Microsoft on new products and tools for education, and exchanging best practices to promote innovation in teaching and learning.

Mr Thompson said:

“I am delighted to have been selected as a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert.  As the EdTech lead at Yarnfield Primary School I passionately believe that technology can be used to benefit the education of children.  I want to ensure that myself, and all staff members at our school and across the Summit Learning Trust, continue to learn, grow and expand our skill sets so we can do everything we are able to provide our pupils with the best education possible.”
