Year 5 have begun their latest topic on rivers. This past week we’ve learned the name of some rivers unknown to the children (Thames, Severn and the Wye to name a few) and found out some interesting facts about rivers in the UK. Did you know that the River Severn is the longest river in the UK at 220 miles?
Explore the rivers of the world with the help of National Geographic….
You can also remind yourself of the water cycle that Year 5 have already learned about this year by watching GoNoodle’s awesome Water Cycle Rap!
When we get a nice Saturday or Sunday make sure you check out one of our local rivers such as at Sarehole Mill, the River Blythe through Solihull in Brueton/Malvern Park, or slightly further afield, the River Avon running through Stratford-upon-Avon.
